UST Screen Compatibility: What to Check Before You Buy
A screen can be labeled 'UST compatible' and still be a poor fit for your specific room or projector orientation. Compatibility has several layers.

Projector type
Confirm that the projector is truly ultra short throw. Standard short-throw and long-throw models use different light paths, and directional ALR screens are sensitive to that geometry.
Projector orientation
If the projector sits on a cabinet below the screen, choose a surface intended for light arriving from below. Ceiling-mounted UST installations may require a differently oriented surface or specific variant.
Screen size support
Confirm the projector can produce the chosen diagonal. A screen does not change the projector's fixed optical relationship between size and distance.
Seating compatibility
A physically compatible screen may still be uncomfortable if the viewing cone does not cover your side seats. Fresnel buyers should pay particular attention here.
